Amongst all those wonderful designer dresses, gorgeous hats, fantastic shoes and great purses there were bound to be a few fashion faux pas. But probably the worst outfits of the day were worn by a sister act – Prince William’s cousins Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie. The princesses, who are known for their interesting fashion tastes were definitely very noticeable and perhaps not for the right reasons.
The ladies are the offspring of William’s Uncle Prince Andrew and his ex wife Sarah Ferguson – aka Fergie. Their mother did not receive an invitation to the Royal Wedding, something that surprised few people after the embarrassment she caused her ex not so long ago when she tried to sell “access” to him to help relive her financial woes.
Poor Princess Eugenie certainly looked as if her Vivienne Westwood outfit was wearing her, not the other way around. The dress was too tight and bosom and the skirt would be unflattering on anyone. Her hat was one of the many Philip Treacy creations on display, but this one must have been one taken from the reject pile. It was a rather strange mish mash of colors, its skinny Robin Hood style shape did not suit Eugenie’s face and a spray of feathers and flowers just made things worse.
However Eugenie’s hat was a hit compared to the strange headgear sported by her sister Beatrice another Philip Treacy miss. So horrible was her hat that by the end of the day it has inspired a whole Facebook page called Princess Beatrice’s Ridiculous Hat, where people began posting Photoshopped pictures of the young Princess with monsters on her head, some of which were an improvement over the one she actually wore. The shame of it all was that her Valentino Haute Couture pale beige dress and coat were actually very attractive and extremely flattering but no one will remember that!
Another guest who scored low marks in the fashion stakes was British socialite Tara Palmer- Tomkinson. Her bright blue dress and equally blinding fascinator style hat 
(Treacy strikes again. Maybe hes been having an off week) certainly made a statement but probably the wrong one. Perhaps though it was attempt to detract from her new nose (Tara is a recovering cocaine addict who had a “minor” nose job to look her best in time for her friends big day)
