It has been a long time since Natalie Portman portrayed the role of Queen Amidala in in the highly anticipated US$431 million-grossing prequel Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace. Seeing her recently wearing a fashion accessory that is fit for a queen, one can’t help but reminisce the time she effectively played the role. The gorgeous pair of dangling earrings she wore was truly remarkable and perfectly matched the sexy dress she had on. The dress was impishly revealing in a subtle way that is very Natalie.
Natalie Portman is no way a simpleton that is why she makes smart moves and smart choices even in her clothes and jewelries. Nobody could ever claim the term “smart celebrities” is an oxymoron because Natalie is a Bachelor in Psychology degree holder. She graduated from high school with a 4.0 before she went on to pursue college education and after which, she attended Hebrew University graduate school. On top of that, she is also fluent in Hebrew, French and Japanese and can converse in light German and Spanish. As a graduate with honors, her academic accomplishments earned her a Harvard admission.
The daughter of an Israeli doctor father and an artist mother, they moved from Jerusalem (where she was born) to move to Washington D.C. before finally settling in New York. At age 11, she worked in a pizza parlor where she was discovered. At first, she tried to pursue a modeling career but decided it is acting that she loves. And maybe because show business insiders are aware of how smart a girl she is, she is often offered to play characters that are smart, mature, grown up and definitely no push-over. If she looks stunning, she owes it to her choice to become a vegetarian as early as age eight.
One of the smart moves she made was when she decided not to act for four years so she can focus on her studies at Harvard. These studying years were only interrupted by one film which she simply cannot pass up as it was a great chance and that was the Star Wars movie. So, if she is regal, poised and elegant in her green and gold dress which she adorned with beautiful dangling earrings, it is because this girl is smart and she knows it.
